About this policy
This policy explains how information is handled when you visit the Envizion IT website, submit an inquiry, or subscribe to News + Updates. It also describes services provided through other organizations.
Our client text messaging service has separate Text Messaging Terms. This policy does not replace those terms.
Contact inquiries
Our Contact form requests your first name, last name, email address, and message. You may also provide your company name.
The form uses Netlify Forms to receive and process submissions. It includes form-identification and spam-prevention metadata. Submission notifications are sent to contact@envizionit.com.
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry and communicate about your request. Please do not submit passwords or other sensitive information through ordinary website forms.
Submitting a Contact inquiry does not subscribe you to News + Updates.
News + Updates
Our newsletter signup form uses Mailchimp. An email address is required; first and last names are optional. Your submission is sent directly to Mailchimp to manage your subscription and deliver newsletter emails.
The current signup process does not require a separate confirmation email before enrollment. You can unsubscribe through the unsubscribe option in newsletter emails.
Mailchimp maintains the actual subscription record. Website measurement of a signup submission attempt does not establish that Mailchimp accepted the subscription.
Website requests and search
Our hosting provider processes requests needed to deliver website pages and resources.
Website search runs locally in your browser using the website’s search index. The search implementation does not send search text to an external search provider.
Search terms supplied through a URL may appear in browser history or ordinary hosting request records. Our analytics implementation removes the search query before supplying page-location information to Google Analytics.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website use and measure selected interactions. Google processes usage information through this service. Analytics uses cookies and browser identifiers to distinguish users and sessions.
We measure page visits and two specific form interactions:
- A Contact event after the website receives a successful HTTP response to the form submission.
- A newsletter submission-attempt event when a valid signup submission is initiated.
These analytics events do not include Contact or newsletter form contents, such as names, email addresses, company names, or messages. A Contact event records successful HTTP acceptance, not subsequent handling of the inquiry. A newsletter attempt does not confirm a subscription.
Before supplying page-location information to analytics, our website removes search terms, unapproved query parameters, and URL fragments. It retains only restricted values for three campaign attribution parameters: utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign. Query parameters and fragments are also removed from the referring-page information supplied by our implementation.
Google Signals and Enhanced Measurement are disabled in our current analytics configuration.
GA4 event-data and user-data retention settings are each configured to 14 months. The setting that resets user-data retention on new activity is enabled, so new activity can restart that retention period.
These analytics settings do not establish retention periods for Contact submissions, email correspondence, newsletter records, or other services.
Third-party resources and external services
Some website features load resources from other organizations. Your browser contacts those organizations when their resources are requested. Their handling of information is governed by their own practices and policies.
YouTube: Several pages contain embedded YouTube videos. Loading or interacting with those videos may involve processing by Google or YouTube. Envizion IT does not control YouTube’s data practices.
Google Fonts: The website retrieves font resources through Google Fonts.
External forms: The Lakeshore Technology Assistance page links to an external Google Form. Information entered there is submitted through that form rather than through our website’s Contact form. Review the information and notices presented with the form before submitting.
BBB badge: The Lakeshore campaign landing page includes a remotely hosted Better Business Bureau badge image and link. Displaying the badge requires a request to an external server.
Other links: Our website links to other organizations and services. This policy does not describe how those external websites handle information.
Cookies and browser storage
Google Analytics uses first-party analytics cookies. Embedded resources and third-party services may also use cookies or other identifiers under their own policies.
Apart from the analytics implementation, our current website code does not write first-party cookies or use local storage or session storage. This does not mean that all services available through the website are cookie-free.
Client text messaging
Envizion IT uses text messaging for client support and service communication when a client requests or permits it. We do not use SMS for marketing or add clients to SMS marketing lists.
Please review our separate Text Messaging Terms for information about that service.
Retention and security
We have not established a single fixed retention period covering all website-related information. Contact submissions, related correspondence, newsletter records, and external form responses are separate from the GA4 retention settings described above.
No method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed completely secure. Please use care when deciding what information to submit through website forms.
Your choices and questions
You can choose whether to submit an inquiry, subscribe to News + Updates, or use an external form or service. Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe option.
For questions about this policy or information you have provided, email contact@envizionit.com or use our Contact page.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as website features or information practices change. The effective date identifies when the published version takes effect.
